Online Job Readiness Course

Workforce English

Writing skills for the workplace

This course has a prerequisite of Intermediate or B1 CEFR level. It contains 16 sessions which are completed in one month. Students may sign up for additional packages of 5 hours each if needed. The course begins with a mock test to assess the student’s level of English. The student receives 6, 10, or 14 assessment results with teacher feedback throughout the course.

There are two different monthly packages to choose from, regular and intense.

The Regular Package has two Options:

  • Silver, bronze, and gold, there are 16 sessions in each package, and they are offered for 60 minutes each. The student should select the package according to the level of their learning needs.
  • The intense learning package has 5 one-on-one sessions completed in one month, lasting 30 or 60 minutes each.

The Institute provides the course materials for this course via email.

Upon purchasing any Job Readiness course, students can access all the learning modules 24/7 through the LMS for 6 or 12 months. No long-term commitment is necessary; cancel at any time.

Writing skills are essential for clear communication, eliminating the need for explanation or clarification. Many employees dread writing at work almost as much as they fear public speaking. Confidence, efficiency, organization, and flow are affected by poor writing skills.

Employees will practice writing to acquire the skills needed to successfully complete the required writing tasks. Proper written communication entails task achievement (content), grammar, vocabulary, coherence, and cohesion (organization).

By the end of this course, the employees will be able to write the following:

  • Agendas
  • Letters
  • Emails
  • Memos
  • Text
  • Brief reports

Features

Access

High-quality course material with practice questions is available through our learning management software. Students may use any internet-connected device to login to attend live classes, complete assignments, review course material, watch videos, and track progress.

Participation

Students will have exposure to native English speakers, providing them with an atmosphere to practice accurate and effective English communication. Through an online video conferencing platform, they will have access to one-on-one and small-group sessions with the teacher.

Support

Students can access the teacher via email or text for questions or concerns. Teachers will respond to the student’s messages within 24 hours of inquiry. If the teacher cannot meet with the student for the previously scheduled session, the student will be notified via email or text message. Under normal circumstances, no class session is canceled or rescheduled by a teacher or student within 24 hours of the start time. No support service will be available when there is a real emergency, such as a natural disaster. Regular services will resume once the situation is resolved.

Tutorials

Expert tutoring sessions are available in one-on-one or group settings. We have a dual platform for live and self-paced learning. It includes student and teacher live chats in real-time, interactive lessons, videos, and practice tests.

Mock Test

We use our mock test as a placement test to assess the student’s current level of English because some courses require a certain English competency level. It establishes a baseline to track progress. The mock test results are reviewed and used to customize teaching sessions based on the gap analysis. Each course ends with an exit test assisting students in identifying their accomplishments.

Practice Material

Our learning management software (LMS) contains tons of learning material with practice questions on general, academic, and workforce English. We use the latest digital library resources to prepare teaching sessions and assignments.

Grammar

Our LMS contains beginner to advanced-level grammar lessons. Students are signed up to the LMS, through which they attend live sessions and receive homework. It is also used for students’ self-paced learning.

Prerequisite

Students must know their current level of English before signing up for a course with a prerequisite. Students may take a free test to check their Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) level on the homepage of our website. If the student's CEFR level does not meet the requirement, they may sign up for the General English course according to their level. General English courses can assist students in upgrading their level.
